Searching for the Perfect Horse
by: Carolyn Salmon Kazmierczak

“Searching
for the Perfect Horse” is a book about
20
different horse breeds. I include informative charts, diagrams,
origin, and history. I also include the Horse Association
of each breed for contact information, and a featured horse of
each breed along with their owners contact information.
The horses that I chose to write about are:
American
Saddlebred, Andalusian, Arabian, Appaloosa, Cleveland Bay,
Friesian, Hackney, Hanoverian, Missouri Fox Trotter, Morgan,
Mustang,Paint, Palomino, Peruvian Paso, Paso Fino, Rocky
Mountain, Quarter Horse, Standardbred, Thoroughbred, and
Tennessee Walker.
What people
are saying about “Searching for the Perfect Horse”
Carolyn did
an excellent job in writing a book about a subject that is very
overwritten. She chose a creative angle that is much more
interesting and entertaining. She focused on the “reality”
side of owning a horse that many young people don’t have a lot
of exposure to. I think this is a great book for public
and school libraries, as well as a great gift for a young person
or someone young at heart who loves horses.

Got the book
and I am enjoying it. Good job on many breeds; bet it will
sell well. Do want mine signed one day….

This is a great book for anyone who owns a horse or is
thinking of getting a horse. It’s hard to find a book
that provides an overview of so many different breeds, but
this book handles that task very well. The numerous
charts are also quite useful. This would be a nice
reference book to add to any collection.

info:
Searching for
the Perfect Horse is the journey of author Carolyn Salmon
Kazmierczak into a world of 20 different horse breeds. She
begins with the purchase of her first horse- a former
Thoroughbred race horse- and what she learned from her
relationship with him. Discovering her inadequacies to
train and ride him, she began researching horses, from their
origin in America in the year 1500, to present day, she learned
of their hardships and accomplishments and had a desire to know
more. She has combined her research with informative
charts, diagrams, and the unique characteristics of each breed,
to inform horse lovers all over the world of the nobility of the
horse. She catches the interest of her readers with her
unique experiences and by featuring a horse of each breed that
gave her more insight into their lives and into the lives of
their owners.
