Carolyn Salmon Kazmierczak:A note from Carolyn: My family and I have a strong faith in God. We attend church regularly and we strive to treat others, as we would have them treat us. For me, this statement of faith goes beyond just treating others with respect; I also treat animals with respect. Animals have been a big part of my life since I was a child. Today, I own several pets and my horse, Aquila. As a child I feared horses. At age 33, I overcame my fears through a Shetland Pony named Mary. Spending time with her everyday helped me to learn that horses, if treated with respect and kindness, are gentle and noble creatures. They can win your heart and soul, and that is just what happened to me. Since 1992 I have spent time with horses, learning their traits and characteristics. I began my writing endeavors along with my artwork in 1993. I have sold artwork to Christian Book stores and individual’s as well. Although most of my writings reflect that of a Christian nature, I began writing about horses in 2001. I live in the small town of Grapeland, located in East Texas with my husband Greg and two children Jake and Ariann. My family has been a big support and inspiration for me in all of my endeavors. Aquila and I focus on entertaining children with his comical antics and tricks on special occasions and birthday parties.
